Mapusa: Mapusa Police arrested a history-sheeter from Margao’s Housing Board for breaking 3 two-wheelers and stealing mobile phones.
Mapusa Police Inspector Paresh Naik told reporters that a Aldona resident had complained that someone had broken dickey of three bikes and stolen mobiles which were kept in it. All the victims were attending the masses in the Church when incident happened.
Naik said that during the investigation, police had found the video of the accused but his identity was not clear. A local intelligence bureau staff of Mapusa police station Akshay Patil helped the investigating officer to identify the accused.
Accused identified as Ansar Narangi was involved in similar offences in Margao jurisdiction. Naik said that the accused was found at Housing Board, luckily wearing the same T shirt and a cap which he wore on the day of the theft.
The accused was not active in the crime scene for two years.
