Panaji: National Students Union of India (NSUI) has urged the government to urgently solve the electricity which is cut off due to the cyclone at the earliest keeping in mind the various patients across Goa who are dependent on oxygen concentrators, nebulisers and steamers during their home quarantine.
“NSUI Goa has been trying to get in touch with the electricity department but have not got a positive response from them, it has been noted that electricity was not available across Goa from 16th early morning and this is a serious health hazard during this difficult time of covid 19 as we all know all the machines on which patients are dependant on electricity.” said NSUI Goa President Ahraz Mulla
“We also fear that the electricity problems must not arise at GMC or other hospitals, the CM must monitor this issue personally at the earliest, as we fear a shortage of oxygen or other important equipment due to the electricity issue” said Mulla.
CM Dr Pramod Sawant held a review meeting on 17 May afternoon on the impact of the Tauktae cyclone, in the meeting he has instructed the officials to restore power to hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. “Power to villages will be restored by May 18”, he said.

Oxygen and Vaccine, Where are you? I am coming from the Center. Why so much delay? Why it was not sent, when first phase was over? Because of this delayed, now so many people died!
