Fatorda: Police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually harassing two minor children at a popular store in Margao town of South Goa.
A senior police officer said the incident occurred on Friday when the children, aged 7 and 5, had visited the store along with their mother.
According to the complaint filed with Fatorda Police, the accused allegedly exposed himself to the children near the billing counter. The mother, who lodged the complaint, stated that the accused was unknown to them.
Acting swiftly, the police tracked down the accused, identified as Tiburcio Monteiro from Ponda town in South Goa.
He was arrested on Saturday by Fatorda Police and booked under various sections of the POCSO Act, the Goa Children’s Act, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
