Make RTPCR Covid test compulsory for tourists entering Goa : Goa Mahila Congress

Panaji : Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Beena S. Naik along with team submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane asking to make RTPCR test for Covid 19 compulsory for all tourists entering Goa through various modes of transport from neighbouring states.
Muktamala Fondvekar, Priya Rathod, Roshan Desai, Parvati Nagvekar, Rekha Parab, Sanjana Caulgue and Pratibha Borkar were also present with the GPMC president to submit the memorandum.
“There has been an influx of tourists, entering Goa through various modes of transport such as roads (Through their private vehicles and by buses),  through railways, airways and waterways” said Beena Naik.
Under such circumstances Naik said “no one should  be allowed to enter Goa unless and until they go through the test of RTPCR or the report of the RTPCR test done.”
GPMC in the memorandum also wrote that “As 1200 people have been tested positive for the Haridwar Maha Kumbh Mela, if anyone is coming back to Goa after attending it should be compulsorily quarantined for 15 days”
