The workers who report sick or having medical issues were treated in these ESI Dispensaries and Employers accordingly grant them medical leave and other related facilities based on recommendations of ESI authorities.
Recently these ESI DISPENSARIES have been closed and workers are being denied medical treatment and health care facilities under the ESI scheme. Workers who are working in many industries and factories during this ongoing corona pendamic and those reported with health issues are presently unable to avail leave as ESI AUTHORITIES do not certify the medical leave.
This is creating great inconvenience and difficulties to the workers who are reporting sick with health related issues due to which these workers are also unable to proceed on leave as their leave is not recommend by the ESI Authorities.
This has badly hit the affected workers working in various factories and industries.
AITUC request the Honble chief Minister to immediately look into these issue and start the ESI DISPENSARIES at least in major industrial estates to help the sick and ailing workers crying for medical treatment under ESI scheme as these workers are working in the factories and industries during the ongoing pandemic risking their lives.
AITUC appeal people of Goa not to venture out unnecessarily unless it is absolutely necessary. Everyone must follow the Govt guidelines and Sops on COVID protocols. STAY HOME STAY SAFE.
