The video of two Thar drivers manoeuvring dangerously through flooded river on the way to Doodhsagar Waterfall went viral prompting Chairman of Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra to quoted our video to pass on a message of exercising restraint.
“Found this post in my inbox this morning. While I appreciate their faith in the Thar, this looks like an incredible dangerous manoeuvre. I appeal to Thar owners to exercise restraint,” Mahindra tweeted on Friday.
We had carried the video showing two Thars dangerously crossing the river, which is overflowing due to continuos rains in the Western Ghats.
This video was shot by a local man as Thars waded through the River which is on the way to Doodhsagar waterfall. This River is one amongst the two rivers that one has to cross to reach to Doodhsagar waterfall.
When contacted, police inspector Sanjay Dalvi, under whose jurisdiction the Doodhsagar comes, said that all roads leading to the waterfall are blocked from June 18 onwards. “They will remain shut for the entire monsoon,” he said.
The only way one can see the Doodhsagar is through South Western Railways, he said.
