Panaji: Aishwarya Salgaonkar, a woman candidate contesting as independent in North Goa Parliamentary seat, has filed police complaint against a person for abusing her on whatsapp.
Salgaonkar told reporters that she had circulated message asking for votes to different people. “One of the person whom I had sent message asking for votes, responded back with bad words which is highly derogatory,” she said.
The LS candidate has now filed complaint with local police, Cyber Crime Cell and also with Women’s Police Station. She has identified the person to be one Kashinath Mayekar, whom she claims is a congress party worker from Mayem constituency.
Salgaonkar has also filed complaint with Election Commission of India.
