Sanguem: Netravali-based animal lover Amit Naik has entered his marathon stint of 48 days of uninterrupted feeding of stray dogs, cats in South Goa. But now, he says that the resources are drying up and people helping hand needs to come forward.
“From last 47 days I have been on mission of feeding stray dogs and cats across Goa, whose life is in danger due to LOCKDOWN. As my mission proceed I came across many voiceless animals in which some were wounded with maggots, some were fighting for their survival due to hunger and many were ended with their life,” Amit said.
“The journey was not that easy though my determination was very much strong as days passing it increases financial burden due to high rise in chicken rate and also unavailability of rice,” he said.
“There is a saying WHEN THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY….I am supported by some of kind hearted person whom sent by a Almighty God I may say to help me n make my way easy…I am really thankful to all those without whose support it could not possible.”
“Now today onwards Government has EXTENDED LOCKDOWN till 31st of may 2020.”
“My sincere request to all ANIMAL lovers to support and help me to continue my mission.”
“Any amount would be really appreciated and helpful towards helping the animals. As we only can help them to get survive in this drastic period,” he said.
