Panaji: The Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (GSCPCR) has called on local governing bodies to constitute village and municipal level child committees in order to protect rights and interest of the children.
GSCPCR in a press statement issued has said that in its meeting held today it has decided to activate village and municipal child committees in to order to protect rights and interest of the children as per the Goa Children’s Act 2003 Rules 2004.
“The Commission has appealed to all the village panchayats and municipal bodies to constitute the committees and inform the commission at the earliest,” GSCPCR said.
“This will help the commission to coordinate with the committees to protect the children from getting abused or any other violation of their right by brining to the notice of the Commission,” it said further.
