Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today announced to introduce liver-screening in all government-run hospitals, soon.
Rane said that government is on the verge of finalizing liver-screening. He said that liver-screening process will involve blood tests and diagnoses.
Rane said that liver screening programme will help the department in taking preventive care as there were many cases of liver cirrhosis in the state.
Meanwhile, Health Minister launched Community Diabetic Center (CDC) at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) for prevention of diabetes through early detection, diagnosis and management.
Rane said that total 15 CDC would be set up across various health centers.
