Ponda: The Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav held in Goa felicitated one of the accused and group of lawyers who successfully defended the Narendra Dabholkar murder case.
The convention was held between June 24 to June 30 in Ponda town of South Goa felicitated the lawyers who represented the accused in infamous Narendra Dabholkar murder along with one of the Sanatan Saunstha seeker, who was acquitted in the case, the organizers said on Tuesday.
The entire convention was organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, a right wing organisation, which was attended by national and international delegates.
The spokesman of the HJS said that Telangana BJP MLA T Raja Singh Lodh on the last day of convention chaired the “felicitation ceremony of the devote Hindus acquitted in the Dabholkar murder case as well as devout Hindu advocates who fiercely represented them in the courts.”

Others including Adv. Prakash Salsingkar (High Court, Mumbai, Maharashtra), Adv. Ghanshyam Upadhyaya (President, Lawyers for Just Society, Mumbai, Maharashtra), Adv. (Mrs) Mrunal Wyavahare Sakhare (Member, Hindu Vidhidny Parishad, Pune, Maharashtra), and Adv. (Mrs) Smita Desai (Pune, Maharashtra), Advocates who selflessly (wholeheartedly and without charging a single penny) represented the Hindu side in the court were felicitated.
The MLA offered them a shawl, a coconut, and a photo of Shrikrushna.
At the time, the devout Hindu participants enthusiastically chanted the ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Jai Shriram’ to show their solidarity and to express their joy, the spokesman said.
Over 1000 delegates representing various organisations from countries such as USA, Singapore, Ghana (South Africa), Indonesia, Nepal as well as those from 26 States of India participated in the 7-day Hindu Convention held at Shri Ramnath Devasthan, Ponda, Goa.
The delegates included scholars, experts, journalists, Saints, Dharmacharyas, trustees of temples, priests, advocates, Hindu devotees, entrepreneurs from various fields, etc.
