On the day of Friday January 17 people in Merces received a message from Prakash Naik’s phone 10:40 am saying that he is tired of harassment by Wilson Goudhino and Tahir and he has decided to commit suicide.

He was brought dead to GMC.

With the case being in limelight for few days opposition parties and few politicians showed support and promised help to the family but later no one showed up…

Where CM later due to pressure by the media and opposition commented on this issue only “ONCE” in this six months that too at an event and then later being completely ignorant about it.

Family tried many times to approach him but we’re denied appointments saying that he is busy with his work.

On January 23 the anticipatory bail of Wilson Goudhino was rejected by District Court followed again bail being rejected in High court on February 27 wherein the Honourable Judge mentioned that he isn’t happy with the investigation being carried out by the Police and the Crime branch.

Then came the phase when corona struck considering that right now well being of everyone around,Praksh Naik’s family kept quiet and didn’t raise their voice for past 3 months but kept in contact with crime branch and till date there isn’t any progress being in the case and case is just on hold.

Everytimes it’s the same answer that “We are trying” but till date there have been no arrests made…. While the accused mentioned in the complaint roam freely without fear.

There are still unanswered questions of why police are not ready to make arrest? Why did CM not prioritise the case or speak about it ever after even after knowing thst he was popular leader among people? Is the police taking the case lightly or are their voices being suppressed because one of the accused is ministers brother in ruling government?
