Porvorim: While questioning ‘logic’ and ‘science’ behind holding mere three day long lockdown and night time Janata Curfew, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte demanded that the lockdown should be extended to 15 days.

Khaunte told reporters that such a short lockdown is mere eyewash, and demanded that government should work out immediate corrections to flatten the curve of coronavirus.

The MLA alleged that CM was playing with the lives of the people.

“I don’t know the science behind CM telling us that we need three days lockdown.”

He said that state government has failed to handle coronavirus situation in Goa.

“The number of deaths are increasing. Goans are treated guinea pigs by the CM. They are trying and testing on us,” he said.

“ I had told him in advance that don’t play with the lives of people  but somehow he is hell bent on playing politics with the lives of Goa.”

Khaunte insisted for planned 15 days lockdown.

Claiming that the MLAs are not taken into confidence, Khaunte said that CM was not making the fight against coronavirus “all inclusive.”

Khaunte warned that if this trend continues, Corona will find Goa as its second home.

“ CM still have time to break the chain. To make correction, we need 15 days. We need to make proper planning,” he added.
