Ponda: JCI Ponda successfully organized its 54th Installation Ceremony on 14th December 2025 at Hotel Shakti Palace, Ponda, marking an important leadership transition within the organization. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Kautuk Prabhu Bhatikar, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Shiroda; Guest of Honor JFD Shabha Gauns — Zone President 2025; and Special Invitee JFM Adv. Mamta Naik — Zone President Elect 2026.
During the ceremony, JC Adv. Chaitali Agarwadekar was sworn in as the 54th President of JCI Ponda, along with her Local Governing Board Team. The newly elected leadership expressed commitment towards strengthening community service, leadership development, and member engagement. Outgoing President JFM Vadiraj Inamdar was appreciated for his dedicated service and effective leadership during his tenure.
A highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Past President Ravi Sitaram Naik, in recognition of his outstanding and enduring contribution to JCI Ponda and the wider community. Born and raised in Ponda, Goa, Ravi Naik emerged as one of the most respected figures in Goan politics, with a career spanning over four decades. He was elected seven times as a Member of the Goa Legislative Assembly from the Ponda and Marcaim constituencies and served as Member of Parliament from North Goa.
A committed Jaycee, he was the 12th President of JCI Ponda in 1984 and remained a steadfast supporter of the organization throughout his life. He actively participated in JCI events, warmly hosted visiting dignitaries, and consistently extended guidance and support whenever approached. For nearly 41 years, he supported JCI Ponda’s Annual Running Race held on 12th March to mark the birth anniversary of Goa’s first Chief Minister, Bhausaheb Bandodkar, helping it grow into a flagship community event. His encouragement of youth, promotion of fitness, and unwavering association brought immense pride to the Jaycee fraternity.
The event witnessed active participation from Jaycees, past presidents of JCI Ponda, and Junior Jaycee members, concluding on a positive note that reflected unity and enthusiasm within the organization.
