Porvorim: Canacona MLA and Deputy Speaker Isidore Fernandes demanded full time chief officer for Canacona municipal council.
Fernandes was talking on demands for grants for Municipal Administration department.
He pointed out that the municipality does not have full time chief officer. “Current chief officer is doubling up as a deputy collector so he is available on alternate days in the municipality,” he said.
Fernandes also demanded that the garbage collecting workers of Canacona municipal council should be regularised.
