IndiGo flight makes emergency landing at Goa after mid-air technical snag

Vasco: The flight of IndiGo Airlines operating from Goa to Delhi on Sunday evening had to make emergency landing after it developed technical issues mid-air.

Goa’s Power Minister Nilesh Cabral was amongst the passengers on the flight, who was later flown to the national capital by other flight.

Cabral said that the engine of the Aircraft caught fire after which the plane had to be returned back to Goa.

The Airlines in a statement issued on Monday has said that IndiGo flight 6E  336 operating from Goa to Delhi on September 29 returned to Goa due to technical issues in engine.

“As per the laid down Standard Operating Procedures, our pilot landed the aircraft in Goa for inspection. All the passengers were accommodated on other flights to Delhi,” the airlines spokesman added.
