Panaji: Indian Medical Association’s Goa Chapter has urged all its members to avoid Outpatient Department’s till March 31 as a fight against COVID-19 outbreak.
IMA Goa Chief S. Samuel Arawattigi, in a press statement issued here, said that after the discussion with other state IMAs and Central unit, it has been decided that all the members of Goa unit should avoid holding OPDs till March 31.
He said that the members should guide the patients on phone about their problems and continue emergency services in nearby hospitals.
The IMA Goa chief said that the OPD services could be hotspot for COVID-19 transmission.
“All IMA doctors are committed to come and join the efforts of the government to stop this menace as and when government directs,” he said.
