The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted that the rainfall activity over Goa is likely to increase from Wednesday till May 26, 2025.
State Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane, in a media statement released here, has said that since the IMD has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall across Goa in the coming days, it may lead to challenging conditions.

The minister has further said “avoid waterfalls and high-risk areas.”
“The gates of Dudhsagar waterfall will remain closed to visitors. Please avoid venturing into other waterfalls as well, as they may pose significant risks due to strong currents, flash floods and slippery terrain,” he said.
