Merces, Goa | May 10, 2025: In a major step toward accessible and affordable healthcare for all, Adv. Amit Palekar, President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa, inaugurated the “Aamche Arogya Polyclinic” at Merces in the St. Cruz constituency. The clinic was inaugurated at the hands of a senior citizen of Merces, Mr. Joao Carmin Desouza Souza, and was attended by prominent AAP leaders including Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas, Velim MLA Cruz Silva, AAP National Secretary Pankaj Gupta, and Jyoti Palekar, mother of Adv. Amit Palekar.
The “Aamche Arogya Polyclinic,” launched in association with The Palekar Foundation, will offer free medical services to the public. Key services include consultations with a general physician, pathologist, gynecologist, dentist, and other specialists. The initiative also includes a partnership with ASG Eye Hospital to provide free specialized eye care, including cataract surgeries.
Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Amit Palekar said:
It gives Rasika and me immense joy to dedicate this polyclinic to the people. Our aim is to ensure that quality healthcare is not a privilege but a right. We are committed to expanding these services further in the days to come.
This initiative reaffirms AAP’s commitment to Governance with Compassion and marks a significant milestone in the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community-level service delivery in Goa.
