Panaji : India Meteorological Department, Goa has issued a weather warning for north and south Goa districts from 9th to 13th July 2021. On 9th IMD has informed that there is likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms at isolated places.
On July 10 there is a likelihood of very heavy rainfall at isolated places. However, there is no warning for thunderstorms on this day. Similarly on July 11heavy rainfall warning has been issued.
On July 12 and 13 heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places warning has been issued.
IMD also informed that Squally weather with wind speed reaching 45-55 km/hr gusting to 65 km/hr is likely to prevail over South Maharashtra-Goa Coast on 10th July to 13th July 2021. “Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas during the above mentioned period” Asserted IMD. Similarly for distances beyond 75 KM from the coast, the fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea from 9th to 13th July 2021.
