IMA announces paid quarantine facilities for doctors, their families and health care workers

Panaji: Indian Medical Association’s Goa unit has announced its “paid quarantine”  facilities “for doctors,their families ,healthcare workers and also to COVID positive  patients referred by IMA members.

The IMA can refer the patients with the consent of President and Secretary, IMA Goa unit chief Dr S Samuel said.

The paid quarantine facility is available at   “Oceanic Residency Colva”, “Planet Hollywood “at Utorda in south Goa and  “Oceanic wellness” at Sangolda in North Goa He said that as of now we have 17 patients at ocean residency colva and 15 in oceanic wellness sangolda  total of 32 patients as of now.

They are in touch with IMA doctors on telephonic calls.

The team of doctors is lead by Dr Rajesh Naik, noted consultant in medicine from Margao, ably supported by Dr Anil Mehendrita pulmonologist from Vasco, Dr Sandip Naik, chest physician from phonda, Dr Shekhar Salkar, Oncosurgeon from Bicholim, Dr   Suraj Prabhudesai laparoscopic surgeon , Dr Sudhir Shet consultant in medicine and president of IMA Goa state Dr Samuel all from Margao .

Patients need to buy a kit which contain pulse oximeter, thermaometer and regular medicine which is kept at hotel.

Hotel provide comfortable stay with food proper disposal of biomedical waste .

IMA Doctors also will cooperate with government to help in telephonic monitoring patients who are in home isolation which will start this week.
