Candolim: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo on Wednesday stated that if we continue opposing tourism-related events, we may have to seek jobs outside of Goa. The MLA was discussing the holding of the Sunburn festival in the state, emphasizing that the festival should only be organized after consulting the locals. When questioned about the opposition to the Sunburn festival, Lobo responded, “If we oppose everything, then tourism will stop. Where shall we go for jobs? Shall we go outside Goa?”

Lobo has welcomed the Sunburn festival to be held in his constituency. He added that during his tenure of the last ten years, he has consistently worked to ensure that employment opportunities remain available for locals.
