Panaji: IAS officer Sneha Gitte who was transferred after Shirgao Temple stampede is amongst half a dozen IAS and IPS officers who were transferred from Goa by Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Gitte was in the spotlight after six people had died in the temple stampede at Shirgao on May 3. She along with then SP North Akshat Kaushal were transferred from their respective postings.
The fact-finding investigation committee report too have indicted District Administration and Police along with Temple committee for the stampede.
Interestingly, another IAS officer Yashaswini B, who was transferred as North Goa Collector has also been posted out of Goa through the same order by the MHA.
Two IAS officers Sanjiv Gadkar and Yatindra Maralkar will have homecoming after they are transferred back to the coastal state.
DIG Omair Singh Bishnoi is also transferred from Goa to Delhi.
Other officers who were transferred includes Arun Kumar Mishram, Ramesh Verma and Asvin Chandru.
