Panaji: Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar on Thursday said that he has accepted the merger of Congress Legislature Party into the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Tawadkar told reporters that he went through the letter and found that they have required number for the merger.
A group of 8 members from Congress had resolved to merge their Legislature party into the BJP on Wednesday. All the members had later joined BJP in a formal function in presence of chief minister Pramod Sawant and BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade.
