Panaji: Goa on Thursday reported highest spike in the COVID-19 cases with 570 people testing positive taking the tally to 10,494, Health department official said.
During the day, 271 people were discharged from after which the number of recovered cases has touched 6912. There are 3491 active cases in the state.
Two persons – 48-year-old male and a 73-year-old male succumbed to the infection during the day.
“Out of 3236 samples tested, 1926 were negative and 570 returned positive while 740 reports are awaited,” the official said.
