Ponda: The new development has come to surface that three newly elected MGP councilors from Ponda Municipal Council are eager to change their political affiliation and looking towards BJP for their future.
The numbers thrown by the recently held election has check mate all the three political parties – BJP, MGP and Congress. MGP has won on seven, BJP on Five and Congress on three.
While traditionally BJP and MGP which formed the last council had entered into a bitter phase of internal bickering, the former now does not want to align with latter. But for any party to form the council, they require at least eight councilors by their side.
The latest development is that three MGP councilors are holding series of meetings to join BJP which will give the required magic figure for the saffron party to form the panel in PMC. Let’s wait and watch
