Porvorim: MLA Rohan Khaunte has been personally monitoring the work of restoration of electricity in his constituency after heavy rains disrupted the supply.
The constituency witnessed power cuts due to heavy rains and strong winds during last 36 hours. All along, Khaunte has been personally monitoring the work of restoration which is undertaken by Electricity Department.
The MLA has been visiting all the places where there are power issues along with the staff of department providing them all the necessary assistance.
The Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineers along with linesmen are working overtime to ensure that the electricity is restored as soon as possible.
State has been witnessing incessant rains during last few hours.
