Old Goa: Goa police on Thursday arrested a doctor attached to Healthway Hospital at Old Goa for outraging modesty of a Spanish woman patient, who was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
Police spokesman said that the doctor, identified as Dr. Doshi, who was attached to the ICU unit and was treating the Spanish patient was arrested on Thursday, after a formal complaint was lodged against him by sister of the victim.
As per the complaint, the incident happened on August 31 when the patient was admitted to ICU in immobile situation. The incident happened at Healthway Hospital, Old Goa , the complaint mentions.
Police stated that the complaint mentions that the doctor outraged modesty of the patient by inappropriately touching her at several places.
“The doctor was arrested and First Information Report has been filed against him.Further investigation is going on,” police said.
He has been booked under the relevant sections of BNS for outraging modesty of a woman.
