Panaji”: The Bombay High Court at Goa today quashed and set aside the order of lower court directing the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) to register FIR against former IGP Sunil Garg in alleged bribery case.
The High Court has set aside Panaji Additional Session court order in Jan 2018.
Vasco-based businessman Munnalal Halwai had approached the Panjim Sessions Court on August 11, 2016 with a petition to direct ACB to register a FIR against Garg in the bribery case.
He had complained that Garg had demanded and accepted Rs 5.5 lakh to register a FIR at Ponda Police Station of which he had submitted an audio recording of a conversation between Garg and himself.
