Anjuna: Haryana based BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat died of a suspected heart attack in Goa on Monday night, a senior police official said.
A senior police official said that she was brought in dead at a hospital in Anjuna in North Goa on Monday night. “Prime facie, the cause of death is established as Heart Attack but further medical examination is on,” he said.
He said that the postmortem on the body would be conducted at Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.
He said that the details about the case would be revealed by police later during the day.
Police sources stated that she was brought at St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna last night after she complained of uneasiness. She along with some of her staff members had gone to Goa.
She had contested the last assembly election as BJP candidate from Adampur Assembly constituency against Kuldeep Bishnoi.
