The Goa Union of Journalists has taken a serious note of unverified news on Covid-19 that went into print in one of Goa’s leading English newspaper. The unverified news report has attracted serious criticism and caused panic in the state.
GUJ calls upon print, electronic and online journalists to be responsible and extra cautious when reporting news related to Covid-19.
“Please do not fall prey to unverified and fake  news which spreads panic amongst citizens in these testing times,” GUJ president Rajtilak Naik said in a statement.
