GPCC vice president and Mormugao congress candidate Sankalp Amonkar on Monday filed his nomination before the returning officer for the upcoming assembly elections from Mormugao Constituency. Amonkar speaking to media after filing nominations said that he was extremely confident of his victory with a huge margin from Mormugao
” I have been moving around my constituency and already begun my door to door campaigning to which I am getting a tremendous response. I am shocked because this time round, many of the hard core BJP Supporters from Mornugao have assured me of their support. The people of Mormugao has already given me their word that they will support me in the elections because every body is looking for a change. The people are fed up with the present BJP Government and also the Mormugao MLA who has been involved in various issues like the sec scandal, Nu shi Nalini issue, MPT iron ore theft , naphtha theft, monopoly at MPT etc that have been highlighted by me or the party at different points of time. The people are desperately looking to kick out the BJP in mormugao and the state as well and this time round I am confident that I will not only win ,but win with a huge margin ” said Amonkar
