Panaji : Goa Pradesh Congress Committee paid tribute to late Prime Minister of Goa Rajiv Gandhi today on his death anniversary. Senior congress leaders Ramakant Khalap, Luizinho Faleiro, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat; NSUI President Ahraz Mulla and GPCC President Girish Chodankar were present at the event among others.
“Visionary leader, Rajiv Gandhi was always identified with the common man, He was responsible for the 73rd and 74th constitutional amendment thereby decentralising the power at village Panchayats” said Kamat.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar said “Entire party cadres nationwide are providing help in different ways. Few days ago NSUI started a vaccination registration drive. Many people don’t have access to internet and personal vehicle hence NSUI provides them aid in the form of pick up and drop service as well as Covid19 vaccine registration”
“Today on the death anniversary of late PM Rajiv Gandhi NSUI have launched their pick up and drop vehicle which will help the needy to reach the vaccination centre” Chodankar Noted.
“While our frontal organisations are working hard to provide help during these challenging times, PM Modi is sending our vaccines abroad and whoever questions him on this behalf is being arrested. Hence i ask PM and CM to arrest me too” said Chodankar
“State Immunization officer, Rajendra Borkar in a press statement said Vaccine companies demand advance money only then we will provide vaccines. Why is our state government not releasing funds to buy vaccines? Questioned Naushad Chowdhari.
NSUI President Ahraz Mulla said “NSUI will be going to every nook and corner of Goa to spread awareness about the vaccine. The 3rd wave is going to come. We need to brace ourselves and be prepared”. “I urge Everyone to take advantage of our services and get themselves vaccinated as soon as possible,” Mulla concluded.
