Panaji: Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane has started taking steps to restart Charavane dam by taking State Wildlife Board into confidence.
Rane tweeted “An interactive session with the Hon’ble Minister of WRD Subhash Shirodkar today morning. In the presence of Shri Sourabh Kumar (CCF), Chief Engineer (Irrigation) Mr Badami, Mr Prem Kumar (DCF-North), Mr Virky, Mrs Tejasvini and others.”
“We discussed working jointly in public interest. One such discussion was restarting of the Charavane Dam by taking it to the State Wildlife Board and resolving the present issues. A review meeting will be conducted in the next 15 days to ensure projects are streamlined fast tracked.”
