Panaji: Paving way for largescale recruitment in the government sector, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that more than 10,000 vacancies in various departments will be filled by November 30.
State government had imposed moratorium on filling new vacancies in various government departments due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Sawant told reporters in Panaji that the moratorium would be lifted on November 30, after which the vacancies would be filled.
“We expect to fill at least 10,000 government vacancies after the moratorium is lifted. The advertisement for the vacancies would be issued soon,” the chief minister said.
“The office memorandum was issued in March because of Covid-19 due to which the financial situation had gone down. We have taken the review now and the financial situation has been improving,” he said
