Panaji: Responding to the contentions that the opposition should have stayed a put in the Assembly and responded to the government during the recently held session, Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai said that the ruling party had left no opportunity for the opposition to discuss or debate by taking away their right to move a cut motion to demand.
He also rubbished the allegations that opposition parties had agreed for passing of the Budget during one day session.
GOVT HAS DONE A FACE OF HOLDING SESSION
Government has done a farce of holding one day long assembly session which passed budget, Bills and demands without any discussion.
Opposition MLAs were named and asked to move out of the House.

BJP SPOKESMAN ARE TRYING TO PADDLE LIES
BJP spokesman has charged that opposition had agreed for one day session and why do you need to make noise now.
BJP spokesman should know that after all party meeting on July 03, I had briefed media. I had clearly stated that to hold one day session should not pass the budget. We said we will allow one day session on the condition that we will take vote on account for four months and then come with the budget which would be reset.
PASSED BUDGET IS IRRELEVANT IN THIS SITUATION
The budget was drafted before covid pandemic. What is the use passing same budget.
All the economies of the world are getting reset. We said reset the budget. Take vote on account. Vote on account is required because there will lockdown of the government.
WE HAD DEMANDED FOR VIRTUAL ASSEMBLY
Our demand was to have virtual assembly session. Nowhere, the opposition had agreed for bills, budget and demand to be passed during one day session.
I want to ask cm whether he had considered covid pandemic in the budget when it was presented in February.
Covid was never an issue during that time.
Some media are writing that we should have stayed back in the assembly and discussed. But it was not possible. Minister Mauvin Godinho had suspended all the rules under which we were not allowed to move cut motion. They had bulldozed and wanted to pass suspending the rules.
ADJOURNMENT MOTION COULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED
Our adjournment motion was one single point of covid. It is wrong to state that we would have been able to discuss the issue, if we had to stay back.
This government does not believe in democracy. This government is more about monologue. The government does not believe in discussion and debate. This government is for autocracy.
GOVT FLIP FLOPPED ON ONLINE EDUCATION
When I raised the question about online education, cm tried to shout me down. The government should know that we are also having experience.
When I asked cm about cyberage scheme and insisted that tabs or smartphones should be supplied under the scheme, he said that there are complaints about the scheme. He said that he is ready to start the scheme, but post covid. who wants the scheme post covid? the issue is during covid time. Many people cant afford to buy tabs and smart phones. Government is misdirected and misplaced priorities.
Government is talking about post covid situation when Goa is facing pandemic situation.
Goa has been made unsafe by this CM.
CM SKIPPED VISITING ESI HOSPITAL
After passing the budget, we were expecting him to go to the ESI hospital, but he instead went to new District Hospital. CM is talking about post covid situation. This is a case of misplaced priorities by misdirected leadership which has got into the seat by a misshape situation. Accidental CM is leading Goa towards disaster.
CM says that we are not able to give five star facilities in covid hospital. we are asking for basic facilities. All the facilities like food, housekeeping comes under Human Resource Development which is headed by CM. It doesn’t come under Health ministry.
The hospital has turned into a cowshed and CM is talking about five star facility.
COTERIE OF FOUR HAS MESSED UP THE SITUATION
There was a time when we were asking bureaucracy to take over. Now the gang of four including Margao based doctor, health secretary, chief secretary and CM. this gang of four has messed up covid response in Goa.
CMO STAFF WITH BHIUPACHI GARAJ NA MASK
The staff from cm office are wearing masks with “bhiupachi garaj na” written on it. Don’t mock 36 deaths. I am only trying to tell BJP that our positivity rate is 10 per cent. ICMR has said that it should be less than 5 per cent. This means there should be more testing. Divert funds from other departments to health department.
If you don’t take everyone on board, then your sincerity would be exposed. Bhiupachi Garaj Na will not help to cover the disastrous covid response and murder of democracy in Goa by BJP government.
