Govt considering increasing retirement age of Anganwadi workers

Panaji: Minister for Women and Child development Vishwajit Rane today said that he would re-submit the proposal to government to increase the retirement age of Anganwadi workers from 60 to 65 years.

 “I will re-submit the proposal to Chief Minister to increase the retirement age to 65 years. I don’t make empty promises… You’ll have my complete support,” he said.

Rane was addressing a gathering of Anganwadi workers and helpers on the occasion of Poshan Abhiyaan.

He said that government is committed to protect the interest of Anganwadi workers.
