Panaji: Governor of Goa, Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai today lauded the Dental College of Goa for improving the various Dentistry services and moreover for bringing innovations in the field of Oral and maxillofacial surgery attributing best dental infrastructure in the State.
Governor was speaking at a function held on the occasion of International Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon Day organized by the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI) Goa Chapter at Goa Dental College and Hospital, Bambolim, today.
Governor Shri. Pillai in his address underlined the importance of Dental science and its service to mankind. Sheer dedication of a dental surgeon makes the profession more valuable. Services rendered by the Dental Surgeon are always treated as Godly service and artistic talent can be seen in Dental science as far as its various surgical techniques are concerned, the Governor added.
Governor also expressed the need for more improvement in the field of Dental science and Oral maxillofacial surgery which would be able to promote medical tourism in the State.
Governor appreciated the various social service activities carried out by the AOMSI Goa Chapter.
President of AOMSI, Goa Chapter Dr. Omkar Shetye in his address informed about various initiatives implemented by the Association for the welfare ofvthe general public.
Officiating Dean of Goa Dental College and Hospital Dr.Vikas Dhupar also spoke on the occasion.
Secretary, AOMSI Dr. Saurabh Kamat proposed vote of thanks.
