Margao: Goa CM Pramod Sawant said that 30,000 people have already registered in Goa under PM Vishwakarma scheme who will get the benefifts.
Sawant also announced that the state government will give approval for double degree for those students who are already pursuing their degree course. “Those who are pursuing the degree can also enroll themselves in the Industrial Training Institutes (ITI),” he said.
The chief minister also said that there are 10,000 people who are enrolled in the government sector the apprenticeship while 7,000-8,000 are enrolled in the private sector under the same scheme.
He said that the state government has decided to fill all the government vacancies in future with the perquisite criteria that the candidate should have one year of experience or should have completed the apprenticeship training.
