Canacona: Chief Minister will inaugurate the state’s first Poha manufacturing unit at Canacona Industrial Development Estate on Friday. The manufacturing unit will initially have a capacity to process 2,000kgs of raw rice a day, This unit is being set up under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojan.
M/s Mahamaya Food Products, the owner reckoned that the poha manufacturing unit set up under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) will initially have a capacity to process 2,000kg of raw rice a day and production will subsequently increase to 6,000-7,000kg of rice. Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar, who is also the Agriculture Minister will be present along with CM and Director of Agriculture Nevil Alphonso at the inaugural ceremony.
