Accra: Within hours of Goa News Hub reporting the plight of Cacra based fisherman, who was struggling to prove a cyclone to claim compensation for his destroyed canoe, Fisheries Minister Philip Neri Rodrigues has assured to compensate him on “humanitarian grounds.”
“I have gone through the news report. I have asked the department officials to give the details. If his case does not fit in any scheme, than we will compensate him on humanitarian grounds,” Rodrigies said.
Our website had carried a story about a fisherman from Cacra who was running from pillar to post to prove that there was a cyclone to compensate for the loss to his canoe.
