Panaji: In a major boost for higher education access in the state, the PACT Foundation has opened applications for its Goa Super 100 – 100 Scholarships initiative for meritorious students from Goa, following its launch in August.

The scholarship programme is aimed at supporting academically strong students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who have secured admission to professional courses but face financial constraints in pursuing their education.

Under the initiative, selected students will have the opportunity to pursue undergraduate studies at leading institutions across the country, including Alliance University, Chitkara University, Lovely Professional University, Manav Rachna University, Parul University, Marwadi University, Vivekananda Global University, SRM University, Symbiosis International University, and BML Munjal University.

The Goa Super 100 Higher Education Scholarship will cover tuition fees and hostel accommodation for the entire duration of the degree programme. Selection will be strictly merit-based, taking into account academic performance, eligibility criteria, and overall potential.

Students who are domiciles of Goa, have secured a minimum of 85 per cent in their HSSC examinations, and belong to families with an annual income below Rs 6 lakh are eligible to apply.

The initiative seeks to bridge the gap in access to quality higher education and enable deserving students to pursue their academic and professional goals.

Speaking on the initiative, PACT Foundation Founder Dr Ashwin Fernandes said that the programme aims to open doors for talented students in Goa.

Goan students have tremendous potential. Through Goa Super 100, they want to ensure that deserving students get access to quality education without financial barriers and are encouraged to aim higher, he said.

He further noted that the long-term impact of the initiative goes beyond individual beneficiaries. Empowering 100 students is significant, but the larger goal is to create a ripple effect. As these students graduate and step into professional roles, they uplift their families and inspire future generations, Fernandes added.

Applications for the scholarship are now open, and interested students can visit http://pactfoundation.org/ for further details and the application process.
