Goan leaders extend wishes on Feast of St Francis Xavier

Panaji: Political leaders from the state extended their wishes for the Feast of St Francis Xavier that is held every year on December 3. However, this year’s celebrations remain low scale because of the pandemic.
Leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar, AYUSH minister  Shripad Naik, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar, Goa Forward Party chief  Vijai Sardesai and others extended their wishes.
“Heartiest Festachien Porbim to everyone on Goenchya Saibachem Fest. May the blessings of the Patron Saint of Goa deliver us from the pandemic. #GoenchoSaib #St.FrancisXavier,” Rohan Khaunte wrote on twitter.
GFP vice president Durgadas Kamat greeting all stated, “On the occasion of the feast of St.Francis Xavier may Lord bless each one of us with choicest of his blessings!”
“Greetings of Feast of Saint Francis Xavier. On this holy day, I pray to “Goencho Saib” for well being of all,” Digambar Kamat stated.
Praying for prosperity and peace on the auspicious occasion, Chodankar said, “StFrancisXavier,patron of Goa,is d beacon of faith for all of us,no matter what their religion,caste or confession.Let #GoenchoSaib protect our Goa from destruction & bless us all in GoodHealth & happiness.Let us pray for peace,prosperity & communitarian brotherhood.”
BJP state president Sadanand Shet Tanvade wrote, “Wishing everyone a most blessed Feast of St. Francis Xavier. May his life of sacrifice and devotion remind us to spread love, share the hope and peace.”
