Panaji: Goa Youth Forward on Thursday has written letter to Chief minister Pramod Sawant, Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane asking them to reduce the amount of bond which is charged for the admission in MBBS and post graduation.
Goa Youth Forward President Raj Malik told a press conference that the letter has listed out their demand which they had raised earlier during the press conference.
Malik said that the state government can charge more from the students who get enrolled under reserved category for non-Goans but the local youth should be spared from this hiked fee.
Goa youth forward has also said that if required, state government can increase the duration of compulsory rural service for the MBBS passed out students from two years to three years.
The organization had earlier demanded that the fee for MBBS should be rolled back from Rs 5 lakh to Rs one lakh for MBBS while from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 5 lakh for post graduation courses.
