Goa Welcomes First-Ever Chartered Flight from Iran

Dabolim: Goa Tourism on Wednesday welcomed the first-ever chartered flight from Iran, marking yet another milestone in the state’s growing appeal as an international tourist destination.

A spokesperson from the State Tourism Department stated that the chartered flight, operated by Qeshm Air, arrived on Wednesday, bringing 140 tourists to the state.

“This arrival marks the first charter flight from Iran and is yet another milestone in Goa’s increasing popularity as an international tourist hub,” the spokesperson said.

The flight landed at Dabolim Airport at 6:30 PM, where officials from the Department of Tourism ensured a smooth and warm welcome for the Iranian visitors.

The Tourism Department highlighted that the arrival of this charter flight reflects the growing interest among international travelers in exploring Goa’s rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions, and vibrant culinary offerings.

The Department of Tourism remains committed to actively promoting Goa as a year-round travel destination, inviting visitors from across the globe to experience the state’s unique charm beyond its famous beaches, he added.
