Goa Tourism to Spotlight Regenerative and Future-Ready Tourism at Qatar Expo 2025

Goa, 19th November 2025 – The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, will be participating in the Qatar Travel & Tourism Expo 2025, scheduled to be held from 24th to 26th November 2025. This international platform will allow Goa to showcase its renewed tourism positioning, strengthened by innovative experiences, enhanced services, and emerging global trends that are shaping the State’s evolving tourism landscape.

Speaking about the participation, Minister for Tourism Rohan A. Khaunte said Goa continues to redefine its tourism identity by combining responsible development with luxury experiences. He said the participation at Qatar Travel & Tourism Expo 2025 will allow Goa to present the depth of its tourism offerings, from wellness and nature-based experiences to cinematic exposure and vibrant nightlife, while engaging with global industry leaders and strengthening Goa’s presence in key international markets.

The Director of Tourism, Kedar Naik, added that Qatar Travel & Tourism Expo 2025 provides a vital opportunity to showcase Goa’s expanding range of tourism services and new-age travel experiences. He said the participation aims to build stronger international partnerships, highlight recent improvements in tourism infrastructure, and promote Goa as a destination that offers both quality and authenticity.

Goa’s participation will highlight the State’s focus on presenting a diversified and future-ready tourism portfolio. This includes the introduction of new tourism trends such as nocto tourism, which emphasises curated and safe nightlife zones enriched with music, culture, and local gastronomy. The participation will also highlight jet setting, an increasingly popular segment driven by film and screen tourism, with Goa’s presence in films, OTT series, and international productions contributing significantly to destination awareness. Additionally, the concept of calmcations will be showcased, reflecting Goa’s strength in wellness-based travel, Ayurveda retreats, nature escapes, and tranquil getaways catering to travellers seeking rest and rejuvenation.

The delegation will also highlight ongoing improvements across visitor infrastructure, digital tourism services, heritage precinct development, water-based tourism, hinterland experiences, adventure activities, and community-led tourism initiatives. These advancements reflect the State’s broader commitment to regenerative tourism, ensuring that tourism growth benefits local communities while protecting Goa’s cultural and natural heritage.

Goa Tourism’s participation at the Qatar Travel & Tourism Expo 2025 marks a significant step in strengthening the State’s global outreach and positioning Goa as a destination that blends sustainability, innovation, and cultural vibrancy.
