GOA TOURISM TO PARTICIPATE AT THE TRAVEL AND TOURISM FAIR, India’s Biggest Travel Trade Show Network

Goa, 9th July 2024 – The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, is delighted to announce its participation in the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF), India’s oldest and largest travel trade show network, scheduled to take place from 12th to 14 July 2024 at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, Kolkata.

Goa Tourism seeks this platform to showcase its unique and diverse tourism offerings, aiming to attract travellers at the global level. The pavilion will feature an array of experiences, highlighting the state’s picturesque beaches, rich cultural heritage, adventure sports, and vibrant festivals, promising an unforgettable experience for every traveller.

Goa Tourism’s presentation at TTF will prominently feature sustainable initiatives under the Regenerative Tourism approach, focusing on hinterland exploration, heritage restoration, and spiritual tourism, Goa’s green tourism initiatives and sample local cuisine, while learning about the state’s efforts to preserve its natural and cultural heritage. Visitors will also have the opportunity to seek information on the Ekadasha Teertha circuit, which includes 11 temples, and on the exposition of St. Francis Xavier at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, scheduled to take place from November 21st, 2024, until January 5th, 2025.

“Participating in TTF 2024 provides us with a fantastic platform to highlight Goa’s cultural and natural beauty, and emphasise our commitment to sustainable tourism. The guest visiting the goa tourism stall will also get an opportunity to book Goa Tourism accommodation during the trade show” said Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director Tourism & Managing Director GTDC.

He added, “We aim to inspire visitors to choose Responsible Travel options that help preserve our environment and benefit our local communities.”

At the Goa Tourism Pavilion, visitors can look forward to interactive exhibits, engaging discussions, and immersive experiences that underscore the harmonious relationship between tourism and sustainability. Central to Goa Tourism’s showcase lies Regenerative Tourism – an approach that not only focuses on conservation but also actively works to restore and rejuvenate natural and cultural resources while improving the well-being of local communities.
