PanajI: Goa Education Department on Thursday ordered the educational institutions to reopen their schools from Monday, February 21 onwards, for classes from first to twelfth as “COVID-19 cases are reducing in the state”
Director of Education Bhushan Sawaikar has issued the order on Thursday asking the schools to resume classes in offline mode from Monday onwards.
The schools were holding classes only for the standards from ninth to twelfth due to the pandemic situation in the state.
“As COVID-19 cases are reducing day by day in the state, it is decided by the competent authority to reopen all th educational institutions from standard first to standard twelfth with effect from February 21, 2022 by following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and as per SOP guidelines,” Sawaikar has said.
The schools were shut down when state was reeling under pandemic. The state government had reopened schools only between ninth till twelfth in a physical mode.
