PORVORIM: Chief minister Pramod Sawant told the House that the National Education Policy, 2020 implementation on the school education will be completed by the year 2028.
In a written reply tabled on the floor of the House responding to a question by BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral, Sawant said has already been implemented in the Higher Education at Under Graduate level at all non-technical colleges in Goa.
The chief minister said that in School Education, the NEP 2020 implementation in the state of Goa is going on in a phased manner and will progress accordingly to be completed by the year 2028.
He said that for Higher Education, NEP 2020 is
being implemented in a phased manner as per the directives of the Ministry of Education, UGC, NITI Aayog and recommendations of Chief Secretaries’
Conference held at Dharamshala.
“For, School Education, the new NEP 2020 academic structure has been implemented starting from the first
year (2023 onwards) at Under Graduate (UG) level at all non-technical colleges in Goa,” the written reply mentions.
Sawant said that National Education Policy 2020 is
being implemented in the state of Goa in a phased manner.
The chief minister said that the Block-level training programs were organized for teachers, focusing on the following key areas that is in line with the NEP.
