Bambolim: Goa government has scaled up its testing facility at state run Goa Medical College and Hospital.
State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Friday said that the state of the art machine has been installed at GMC which can conduct up to 480 tests a day.
Rane tweeted “Grateful to CM @DrPramodPSawant for sanctioning latest Abbott m2000 PCR on our request at GMC which can conduct up to 480 tests in 24 hours. This state-of-art machine will scale up our scope of testing in the state. Our team is persistently working hard to defeat #COVID-19.”
Goa has registered eight fresh cases of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday and Thursday. The state was classified as Green Zone on May 01 after not a single positive case was reported in the state since April 03.
